Travel program overview

What to expect after Tryouts.....

Travel program registration works differently than the other RYBA programs
(click here for Travel registration details)

SEPTEMBER
(1) ALL INTERESTED PLAYERS MUST ATTEND MANDATORY TRYOUTS IN SEPTEMBER
> FREE, NO COST TO TRYOUT FOR A TRAVEL TEAM
# no registration required or obligation expected
(2) The option to register for the Travel program will not be publicly available to all families.
> If you do not attend Tryouts, and/or do not make a Travel team, then you will not see the option in the online system to register for the Travel program.
(3) Travel team coaches select their roster immediately following Tryouts, and individual players are notified of selection.
> Each Travel team.....
# will individually practice twice a week on weeknights
# has a roster that is separated by gender and grade level
# Rosters are grouped by ability and Tryout evaluation
(4) The board then places a Travel player registration option directly into those applicable players' Account cart in the online system.
(5) The Travel player parent then has until the end of September to process the registration payment transaction, or else the player is removed from the roster for a different player choice.

See the Travel program basketball schedule below for remainder of what to expect after September

Lebanon, Bethel Park, Chartiers-Houston, Chartiers Valley, Elizabeth Forward, and Baldwin.

Home games are played at the Ringgold Middle School gym, and the Shoot360 gym facility at the Cool Springs complex in Bethel Park. Away games are played at a school district gymnasium in one of the other SHBL member communities.
