THE WEBSITE REGISTRATION SYSTEM WILL AUTOMATICALLY PLACE ALL LIL BALLERS & RECREATIONAL

TEAM PLAYERS, BOYS AND GIRLS GRADES 3 TO 6, ON A TEMPORARY WAITLIST PENDING ENOUGH PARENT

COACH VOLUNTEERS SIGN-UP AS WELL.

>
As grade level coaches volunteer (website registration system under same account as player), then players will be removed from the waitlist and placed on a team roster with a volunteer coach.

>
The registration payment transaction must then be processed by the player parent from their Account Cart, or else that player will be removed from the roster for a different player.

> Recreational team rostering priority in sequential order

(1) Players participating the prior youth basketball season, no matter the registration completed date.

(2) Coaches returning from the prior youth basketball season will have players moved from the Waitlist to their team roster first.

(3) New players not participating previously will be removed from the Waitlist and on to a team roster, in order of registration completed date. The earlier you register, the better.

Registration Information

The online registration process includes a mandatory fundraiser ticket
Lil Ballers, Recreational, & Travel

Every registered player, except Hoop Stars, will receive a limited number of tickets immediately following their individual registration. Ticket pickup dates will be announced. The tickets must be paid for upfront with registration, however parents get their fundraiser tickets money back as they sell the tickets on their own. Parents keep the fundraising money collected from the tickets they resell.

Player parents have the option to put the registration amount due on a payment installment plan, or pay in full upfront. The fundraiser tickets however must be paid in full upfront during the online registration process. There is no installment plan option for the fundraiser tickets.

The earlier players register the better as that gives parents more time before the fundraiser event to resell the tickets and

recoup their money.

PARENT VOLUNTEER GHOST CHECK - Recreational and Lil Baller players only

Recreational player parents also must turn-in a volunteer ghost check before being rostered to a team. One $100 parent
volunteer ghost check per player required, up to two max per family.

> This is not deposited unless you do not fulfill the 2-hour parent volunteer time commitment by the end of the season. The ghost check is simply securely filed, saved aside until the end of the season. Parents of registered Recreational and
Lil baller players who do not volunteer at any point, will have their parent volunteer ghost check/cash deposited
after the season ends.

> Make sure ghost check(s) are payable to Ringgold Youth Basketball, include the player's name(s), and signed.

> Mandatory parent volunteer time commitment required is a total of *2-hours on Saturday Recreational league game days in January and February.
*2-hours for each registered Recreational player, up to 4 hours max per family if more than one child participates.
The parent volunteer ghost check is returned after fulfilling the 2-hour parent volunteer time commitment
*2-hour volunteer time commitment can be completed in a single day, or 1-hour blocks multiple game days.

> more details can be found here

Parent volunteer ghost checks are accepted in-person at the parent meetings in September and October, and other select dates TBD.

Travel program information

  • The RYBA Travel player program offers teams for both boys and girls, and individual grade levels 3 to 6. Travel teams for grades 7 and 8 are determined by the final school team rosters provided by the school team coaches each season.
  • Travel player registration is only available for those players who are notified they made the team for their grade level.
  • Tryouts are MANDATORY for all interested players, but are free, no cost or obligation. No registration required to participate in Tryouts.
  • PLEASE NOTE: Playing on a Travel team the prior year, is not a promise to make a Travel team roster again the following year. Annual Tryouts determine final travel team rosters each year.
  • Any registered player who does not receive an invite following Tryouts, or does not attend Tryouts will be rostered to a Recreational team. All registered kids will play.

Travel player registration works differently than the other RYBA programs

(1) The option to register for the Travel program will not be publicly available to all families.
> If you do not attend Tryouts, and/or do not make a Travel team, then you will not see the option in the online system to register for the Travel program.
(2) ALL INTERESTED PLAYERS MUST ATTEND MANDATORY TRYOUTS IN SEPTEMBER
(3) Travel team coaches select their roster immediately following Tryouts, and individual players are notified of selection
(4) The board then places a Travel player registration option directly into those applicable players' Account cart in the online system.
(5) The Travel player parent then has until the end of September to process the registration payment transaction, or else the player is removed from the roster for a different player choice.
