what is the academy?

The Academy is the start of the youth basketball season for all registered Recreational program players. The Recreational program includes all boys and girls in grades 3 to 6 who are not playing on a Travel team.

The Academy is a 3-week instructional clinic in November practicing basketball fundamentals and basic skills before separate team practices begin immediately following. Typically the Academy clinic time slots are separated by gender as well as grade level. During the Academy sessions, all Recreational players will have the clinic twice a week for about an hour each time.

Individual team coaches will contact all players on their roster prior to the Thanksgiving holiday break. Separate weekly team practices then pick up immediately following the Thanksgiving holiday break.

PLEASE MAKE SURE YOU HAVE YOUR PARENT VOLUNTEER GHOST CHECK SUBMITTED BY THE DUE DATE ANNOUNCED, OR ELSE your child will be removed from the team roster and not able to play youth basketball that winter season.
